Timothy E Leonard is an independent author specializing in atmospheric Southern Gothic fiction, deep werewolf lore, and grounded M/M romance. His debut novel, Sentinel Gap, is the first installment in the lore-heavy Shale Mountain series, which blends visceral supernatural elements with the raw, emotional stakes of men fighting to protect their sanctuary.

When he isn't exploring the dark history of the Dade Coal Mines and Cole City or expanding the mythos of the North Georgia woods, Timothy lives a life as rugged and hands-on as the characters he creates. He writes from his converted 2004 Bluebird school bus, drawing direct inspiration from the secluded landscape around him. His fiction is deeply informed by his real-world passions, whether he is rockhounding the local ridges for jasper and chert or turning wrenches on an old 1989 Ford F-250.

Timothy’s stories are ultimately anchored by his real-life pack. He draws endless inspiration from his husband and can usually be found sharing snacks with their loyal pit bull, Orion.
